Support Our Efforts.

NJHEART is a nonprofit organization led by full-time educators who are committed to advancing equity and inclusion in education. Our volunteer facilitators provide free virtual training sessions throughout the school year and offer in-service support to schools on topics related to inclusive teaching and social justice learning.

Your donation helps us expand access to high-quality professional development for educators—especially in schools and districts that may lack the resources to fund this important work.

How Your Donation Makes an Impact

Donations to NJHEART directly support our mission to build more inclusive and equitable learning communities. Contributions are used across three primary areas:

1. Operational Costs

This includes essential expenses that keep NJHEART running—such as legal and administrative fees, website hosting, digital tools, and other basic infrastructure needs.

2. Facilitator Development

To continue delivering meaningful and up-to-date programming, NJHEART offers its volunteer educators opportunities to participate in professional development. Donations help cover costs for team members to attend trainings that deepen their knowledge and skills in inclusive, equity-centered education.

3. Scholarships

At the end of each fiscal year, any remaining funds not used for operations or facilitator development are directed toward scholarships for BIPOC pre-service teaching candidates seeking certification in New Jersey. NJHEART is committed to increasing diversity in the K–12 education workforce as a pathway to more equitable schools.
