Support Our Efforts.

NJHEART is an educational nonprofit comprised of full-time educators dedicated to Helping Empower AntiRacist Teachers. Our volunteer facilitators host virtual short training sessions on a variety of topics related to social justice learning throughout the school year and provide in-service training for school districts.

What are donations used for?

Donations made to NJHEART are used for three general purposes.

  • Operational Costs: Costs associated with maintaining NJHEART such as legal fees, web-based services and miscellaneous expenses.

  • Facilitator Training: As needs and opportunities arise, NJHEART team members are offered the opportunity to attend training to help further their Antiracist Education experiences and skills. Donations may be used to help offset these costs to our volunteer facilitators.

  • Scholarships: At the end of each fiscal year, funds not used for operation and training costs will be applied towards scholarships for BIPOC pre-service teaching candidates seeking certification in New Jersey. NJHEART believes the need to diversify the education profession in K-12 schools is vital to creating more equitable learning environments.
